FFA Officers attend NYS Chapter Officer Leadership Conference
Throughout the three-day conference, officers attended virtual workshops focused on developing their individual leadership skills, promoting agricultural awareness in their community, and conducting virtual FFA meetings and events throughout the school year.

Fifth grade students connect with peers in Canada during Global Read Aloud
Krista Senatore’s fifth grade students are reading “Indian No More,” a book where a ten-year-old girl struggles to understand her identity as an Indian, far from tribal lands. However, for several weeks, the students have been reading alongside 23 of their peers–peers from Calgary, Canada.

Director of Facilities, Peter Riggi, to retire from Schuylerville CSD
The scope of Riggi’s work through the years has included supervising the buildings and grounds department, maintenance mechanics, grounds personnel, custodians and cleaners, as well as capital projects.

Schuylerville CSD a recipient of a Farm-to-School project grant
Channeled through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County, the grant will pay for a new greenhouse at Pitney Meadows Farm to grow tomatoes, lettuce and other crops beyond the regular growing season.

Final phase of district’s capital project nears completion
Approved by voters in 2016, the project wasn’t slated to be finished until September of 2021. However, with the closure of schools due to COVID-19 in March, work that was anticipated to be done during the summer of 2021 was able to be accomplished during the spring and summer of 2020.
