In addition to the daily temperature checks of students being performed each day by Schuylerville staff upon arrival, school district parents/guardians are required to complete a periodic health screening questionnaire on behalf of their child(ren) electronically. The results will be sent to the school nurses.
The funding is being provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, allowing every Schuylerville student to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch daily, this fall.
Approved by voters in 2016, the project wasn’t slated to be finished until September of 2021. However, with the closure of schools due to COVID-19 in March, work that was anticipated to be done during the summer of 2021 was able to be accomplished during the spring and summer of 2020.
A new online dashboard developed by the Department of Health will report daily data on the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in each school district in the state beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8.
