Schuylerville High School senior, Asa Dupras, will perform May 15 during the virtual High School Musical Theatre Awards at Proctors Theatre. Dupras is among five other area high school students nominated for Best Actor; Best Actor and Best Actress winners will represent the Capital Region at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (the Jimmy Awards) virtually June 20 – July 1 in New York City. The High School Musical Theatre Awards is coordinated by Proctors’ School of the Performing Arts.
“This year more than ever, in a year of cancelled high school performances and empty auditoriums, we are taking a minute to recognize those students who would have excelled in their school’s productions,” said Proctors CEO, Phillip Morris.
“I’m excited and honored to receive the nomination,” said Dupras. “I hope everyone will tune in on May 15 for the award show!”
