Class of 2022 graduate Claire Pelletier-Hoblock, a First Class Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy, is nearing graduation and commissioning in May 2026. During her Service Assignment Day, Pelletier-Hoblock was selected to become a Surface Warfare Officer, where she will join one of the Navy’s most advanced and dynamic communities, leading sailors and operating some of the most sophisticated ships in the world.

In addition, as part of her commitment to giving back to her hometown community, Pelletier-Hoblock will be connecting with interested Schuylerville students virtually on Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m. to share her firsthand experiences at the Academy and answer questions about the admissions process, military service, academics, and life in Annapolis.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, Pelletier-Hoblock will visit Schuylerville High School at 11:00 a.m. This session will provide additional details about Naval Academy programs, admissions, and pathways to military leadership.
“Claire’s journey is an inspiring example of the opportunities available to determined students,” said Superintendent Dr. Ryan Sherman. “We appreciate her willingness to share her experiences and help guide our students who may be considering a similar path.”
