For the second consecutive year, Schuylerville High School senior Meaghan Lynch has claimed the New York State championship in the Long Jump. At the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, Lynch defended her title with a winning leap of 19 feet, 5 inches, once again establishing herself among the top track and field athletes in New York State.

Lynch also delivered an outstanding performance in the Triple Jump, finishing 2nd overall with a jump of 38 feet, 9.75 inches, earning her both Public School State Runner-Up and Federation State Runner-Up honors.
Throughout the indoor season, Lynch consistently demonstrated elite talent on some of the biggest stages in the region and country. At the Ocean Breeze Elite Meet, she placed 3rd in the Triple Jump with a mark of 38-5. Following a massive 20-foot, 1-inch Long Jump, Lynch moved to #1 in New York State and #7 in the United States in the Long Jump, highlighting her standing among the nation’s top athletes.
At the Purple Champions High School Invitational, Lynch captured first place in both of her events. She had a season-best 19-7.50 in the Long Jump and a personal record of 39-1.75 in the Triple Jump.
“With her state championship, multiple podium finishes, and national rankings, Lynch has delivered one of the most impressive indoor track seasons in Schuylerville High School history,” said Interim High School Principal, Mark Doody. “Her dedication, consistency, and competitive spirit have made her a standout athlete and a leader for the Black Horses track and field program.”
