The Schuylerville community came together once again for a great cause, raising $6,115.50 through this year’s annual Kickin’ Out Cancer fundraiser!
Led by Shannon Vallee, Jennifer Pemrick, and Michele Battle, the annual fundraiser brings together students, faculty, staff, and athletic teams in a shared mission to support local charities and families affected by cancer.

Throughout the district, grade levels, offices, departments, and athletic teams contributed hundreds of dollars’ worth of items to create an incredible collection of raffle baskets.
The celebration continued during the field hockey and boys soccer games, featuring a halftime walk, 50/50 raffle, and concession sales, all contributing to the fundraising total. Earlier in the day, students and staff across grades K–12 showed their support during a districtwide spirit day, wearing pink or Kickin’ Out Cancer apparel to honor the cause.
“I want to thank our teachers, staff, and athletic teams for their contributions to this year’s raffle baskets,” said Shannon Vallee. “They truly went above and beyond, and the baskets were absolutely amazing! We’re also incredibly grateful to DaCosta Construction, Welcome Stock Farm, Grasshopper Gardens, and Saratoga Vision for their continued support of this event.”
