Voters pass 2024-25 budget, elect two members to the Board of Education
Schuylerville Central School District residents passed a $39.4 million budget for the 2024-25 school year by a vote of 671 to 295 on Tuesday, May 21, a margin of 69%. Voters elected Jennifer Moreau and Robert Thivierge to the Board of Education.

Superintendent update
During a special meeting on Monday, May 6, the Board approved a resolution placing Mr. Barthelmas on paid administrative leave. During this time, Mr. James Ducharme will remain as Acting Superintendent.

U.S. News and World Report ranks Schuylerville HS as a top 5 area school
Schuylerville High School currently ranks in the top 10% in the nation, top 15% percent in the state, and the top 10% in the region.

Campus evacuation drill to be held May 22
The main goal of this drill is to effectively practice evacuating all students and staff to an alternate location during the school day, utilizing the district’s transportation department.

Schuylerville Elementary School participates in week-long autism awareness campaign
Through a variety of activities and conversations, students learned more about the difference between awareness and acceptance, ways to include others, and ways to communicate with others who have trouble communicating.

Board of Education adopts 2024-25 budget; voters to elect two members to the Board
During its April 15 regular business meeting, the Schuylerville Board of Education adopted the 2024-25 budget proposal that will go before voters on Tuesday, May 21; qualified voters will be able to vote from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the District Office Board of Education room.

Taylor Barraclough named NYS FFA State Vice President
Barraclough is Schuylerville‘s first state officer in almost 24 years. She will be officially installed on May 4th at the NYS FFA convention in Buffalo.

Flanders recognized by National Football Foundation’s Capital District Chapter
Flanders, a running back and defensive end for Schuylerville’s varsity football team, was honored at a luncheon with athletes from every Section 2 school.
