The Schuylerville Central School District is looking forward to welcoming students back to campus for the 2026-27 school year! The first day of school for all K-12 students is Thursday, Sept. 10. As families prepare for the start of another school year, please review several important dates, reminders and resources below. Families are encouraged to continue monitoring ParentSquare for building-specific information.
Elementary school orientations and meet & greet
Schuylerville Elementary School will welcome students and families to campus on Wednesday, Sept. 9, with several opportunities to prepare for the new school year:
- UPK Orientation: 9:00-10:00 a.m.
- Kindergarten Orientation: 12:30-1:30 p.m.
- Grades 1-5 Student Supply Drop-Off/Meet & Greet: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
These events provide students and families with an opportunity to visit the school and get ready for a successful start to the year.
Middle school open building hours
Schuylerville Middle School is offering expanded Open Building Hours before the start of school. Students are welcome to visit the building to locate their lockers, practice opening their locks and walk through their schedules.
The Middle School will be open:
- Thursday, Sept. 3: 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 4: 9:00-11:00 a.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 8: 4:00-6:00 p.m.
2026-27 bus information
Bus information for the 2026-27 school year is now available through the My Ride K-12 app. The app provides families with access to their child’s bus number, bus driver’s name and expected bus arrival times for both morning and afternoon routes using live GPS information. All large district school buses are equipped with Tyler Drive Tablets, which provide live GPS and student ridership information to the district’s Transportation Department. Bus drivers will distribute bus badges to students at the beginning of the school year. Families are reminded that there is a $5 replacement charge for badges that are lost, misplaced or damaged by a student.
Free breakfast and lunch for all students
All students enrolled in the Schuylerville Central School District are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge each school day during the 2026-27 school year. No action is required by parents or guardians, and families do not need to submit an application for students to participate. Additional a la carte items, including snacks, drinks and second meals, are available for purchase and must be paid for at the time of purchase.
