FFA President Shane Barraclough and Schuylerville High School senior has been named a National Proficiency Finalist in Equine Science-Placement for his dedicated work on his family’s farm. The honor is one of the highest recognitions an FFA member can achieve, with national finalists representing the top four students in the entire country in their respective areas.
“This recognition not only highlights Shane’s exceptional skills, academics, and leadership, but also reflects positively on our school, community, and agricultural education program,” said FFA Advisor Mary Foote. “Shane is one of only four students nationwide to earn this distinction and we are so proud.”
As a finalist, Shane will participate in an interview process this September; the results will be announced on stage during the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in the fall.
