Schuylerville Elementary School’s third grade teacher Ruth Anne Thivierge has been recognized as TCT Federal Credit Union’s Teacher of the Week. Every week during the school year, the credit union honors local educators and school employees for their outstanding efforts highlighted through nominations from the community.
Mrs. Thivierge taught second and third grade remote learners last year, with an everyday goal of getting the parents of her students involved with their lessons while they were learning from home. With the return to full-time, in-person learning this year, all of Mrs. Thivierge’s second grade students looped with her to third grade, in an effort to make the transition back to school easier.
“Mrs. Thivierge is a dedicated teacher that goes above and beyond for her students, their families, and the entire school community,” said Principal Rose Beckett. “She is a passionate teacher who strives to make a difference within the lives of all children, and is a wonderful role model and resource for her colleagues.”
