Schuylerville volleyball athletes raise $5,000 in “Power of Pink” tournaments


Power of Pink tournamentThe Schuylerville JV and varsity volleyball teams played in two October tournaments aimed at raising funds to benefit those battling metastatic breast cancer. The “Power of Pink” tournaments were both played at the Queensbury Union Free School District to benefit the Side-Out Foundation. Funds go towards helping metastatic breast cancer patients with personalized care therapies developed from ongoing research.  Click here to read more about the foundation.

Students guarantee power of pink tournamentThis year, the Schuylerville CSD volleyball program was the third out of 29 schools for the most funds raised, equaling $5,000. The teams thank the school and local community for their generous support! In total, more than $60,000 was raised throughout the tournament by all participating schools.
