Elementary Life Skills students raise funds for Albany Med’s Melodies Center

Mrs. Jordan's students deliver Valentine's Day owlsMrs. Jordan’s Life Skills students delivered 564 adorable and lovingly packaged stuffed Valentine owls to students throughout the elementary school on Feb. 14. The $1,386 earned will be used to purchase wish list items for Albany Medical Center’s Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. Some wish list items include small toy action figures, block sets, superheroes, dolls, infant rattles and toys, card games, small arts and crafts kits, fidgets and more.

Mrs. Jordan’s students will continue to learn and grow while making these valuable purchases and will personally deliver the items to the hospital. Melodies Center relies heavily on the generosity of their community to help support the needs of their patients and families. The district is proud to be able to help in such a meaningful and loving way!
