2024 UPK registration open through March 29
Children who will be four years of age on or before December 1, 2024 are eligible for the 2024-25 UPK program.

Prior to the state competition, the team won its third consecutive Section 2 Class C Championship.

Taylor Dennis earns 4th/9th place in Slalom/Giant Slalom at state championship

District names James Ducharme as Acting Superintendent
During a Feb. 23 Board of Education special meeting, the Board approved the request from Superintendent of Schools Gregg Barthelmas for a personal leave of absence. James Ducharme will serve as Acting Superintendent of Schools, beginning Monday, Feb. 26 for the duration of the leave.

Varsity girls ski teams finishes second at sectionals, Taylor Dennis qualifies for state championship
Dennis will compete at Whiteface Mountain on Feb. 26 and 27.

Elementary Life Skills students raise funds for Albany Med’s Melodies Center
Mrs. Jordan’s Life Skills students delivered 564 lovingly packaged stuffed Valentine owls to students throughout the elementary school, raising $1,386.

Performances will be Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Schuylerville High School auditorium.

An international initiative, Lions Clubs around the world sponsor an annual art contest in schools and youth groups.

Schuylerville CSD projected to lose more than 17% foundation aid, advocacy efforts underway
Schuylerville is among 51% of schools in NYS that are being negatively impacted by the proposed change in the foundation aid formula. On Feb. 16, the district will participate in an advocacy discussion in conjunction with New York State United Teachers, Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, and Senator Jim Tedisco.
