Congratulations to senior Arielle Sowle, a state finalist for the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Good Citizens Award! Created in 1934, the award is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship, and recognizes high school seniors who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. During the application process, Sowle had to write and submit an essay in a timed setting with no resources or prior knowledge of the topic. She passed the district and regional levels, and was named a 2023 finalist!
