Nate Kocak and Todd Gonyeau to serve as high school co-principals

As previously communicated, the Schuylerville CSD Board of Education appointed James Ducharme as Acting Superintendent of Schools, effective Monday, Feb. 26 for the duration of Superintendent Barthelmas’ leave of absence. Beginning Monday, March 4, Mr. Todd Gonyeau will provide additional support at the high school while Mr. Ducharme serves as acting superintendent. Mr. Gonyeau, and current High School Assistant Principal Mr. Nate Kocak, will serve as High School Co-Principals as of March 4.

Mr. Gonyeau, a retired middle school principal from the Hudson Falls Central School District, was the Schuylerville High School Interim Assistant Principal for the 2019-20 school year, as well as the district’s Interim Elementary and Middle School Assistant Principal for the 2020-21 school year.

“Mr. Gonyeau will be an excellent support to the high school students, faculty and staff,” said Board of Education President Michael Bodnar. “His years of experience both at and outside of Schuylerville will be an asset to the district. His partnership with Mr. Kocak, an established leader in the high school, will help continue the day-to-day operations of the building in a seamless way.”
