Typically held in person, this year’s event was held virtually and will remain open through May 27. Career Jam connects local employers with area students through virtual learning activities, exposing students to potential careers in the region. Schuylerville students learn first hand about multiple careers and are provided the opportunity to research dozens of careers and ask questions.

“Career development is an important component in every student’s academic experience,” said School Counselor Carrie Bean. “Researching careers early helps give students a sense of direction throughout high school. With so many opportunities for students to choose from, weighing their strengths and interests can be very beneficial.”

Career Jam is presented with Junior Achievement’s JA InspireTM program and co-hosted by the Capital Region STEM HUB, WSWHE BOCES, Capital Region BOCES, Questar III BOCES, Center for Economic Growth & Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, Rensselaer County Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Development Institute.
