Dear Schuylerville Elementary School families,
I hope this letter finds you well and your family is enjoying the summer months. I am excited to meet all of the students and families in September! The purpose of this correspondence is to ensure our records are up to date for the 2026-27 school year and inform you of important events.
Arrival Procedures
- Doors open at 8:50 a.m. and close at 9:10 a.m.
- We encourage all students to arrive by 9:00 a.m.
- Students may not arrive before 8:50 a.m. unless enrolled in a morning program/activity
- No supervision is provided before 8:50 a.m. Parents must wait outside with their children until the doors open
Dismissal Information
Walkers
- Dismissed at 3:03 p.m. from their classroom and exit the building through the main entrance doors
- Walkers are considered students who will be leaving the elementary building and walking to their scheduled destination
- Please do not drive onto campus to meet walkers–plan an off-campus meeting spot
- Kindergarten students may not be walkers for safety reasons
Parent/Guardian Pickup
- Dismissed from the elementary gymnasium beginning at 3:05 p.m
- Must be signed out by an adult on the pickup list with a valid ID
- One parent/guardian allowed inside at a time; others wait outside
Bus Transportation
- Dismissed by grade level between 3:15 p.m. and 3:20 p.m.
Important Reminders
- The Daily Transportation Form was to be completed by all families by Aug. 1 through ParentSquare.
- If you did not complete the form, please email Missy Germain, Administrative Assistant, at germainm@schuylerville.org and request a paper copy no later than Aug. 20.
- Please feel free to make an appointment to complete the form in the office; it shouldn’t take longer than five minutes to complete.
- If you need to make permanent dismissal changes for your child as the year progresses, please contact Attendance Clerk, Michelle Luna, at 518-695-3255 ext.1225, or email: esattendance@schuylerville.org.
- Any student needing to be picked up during the school day should be signed out at the main office no later than 2:15 p.m. unless there is an emergency.
- We must have updated contact information for families and emergency contacts on file. Please email Missy Germain, Administrative Assistant, at germainm@schuylerville.org with any updates to addresses and/or phone numbers.

Important Dates
As you prepare for the school year, I encourage you to review the district calendar on our website for important events and holidays. The following are important dates to note for the beginning of the year:
- Tuesday, September 1:
- New Student Orientation: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
- For students new to Schuylerville Central School District in grades 1-5
- New Student Orientation: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 9:
- UPK Orientation: 9:00–10:00 a.m.
- Kindergarten Orientation: 12:30–1:30 p.m.
- Student Supply Drop-Off/Meet & Greet Grades 1-5: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
- Thursday, September 10: First Day of School
- Thursday, September 17: Picture Day (Grades K, 1, 2, 4, Martino)
- Friday, September 18: Picture Day (Grades UPK, 3, 5)
