Nine local families in need receive full Thanksgiving meals

It’s an initiative that exemplifies the kind and giving nature of Schuylerville Central School District faculty and staff. Through an initiative coordinated by Andrea Willson, Pam Driscoll, and Ross Marvin, nine local families in need received a full Thanksgiving dinner delivered to their homes. The families in receipt have been part of the district’s backpack program. The Thanksgiving meals were put together through donations made by Schuylerville faculty, staff, and administrators.

“All items were donated within 24 hours of the initial request going out,” said High School Nurse Pam Driscoll. “We added a few more families a couple of days later and again, all items were covered. Whether they are donating to the Thanksgiving meals, the district’s backpack program, or the Caring and Sharing program, we are very fortunate to have such a caring staff here at Schuylerville.”

The boxes of food were delivered by Andrea Willson, Pam Driscoll, and Ross Marvin. Thank you to all who contributed!
