New bus communication app

At the beginning of the 2023-24 school year, large school buses were equipped with Tyler Drive Tablets that provide live GPS, as well as student ridership information to the district’s transportation department.

Parents/guardians are able to download a parent communication app giving them access to their child’s bus number, name of the bus driver, and the expected bus arrival time based on the GPS data (for both morning and afternoon runs.)

Beginning May 1, the “Traversa Ride 360” app will be retired and updated to “My Ride K-12.” The app is available on both the Apple and Android app stores. Parents/guardians will need to download the new app to access updated transportation information for their student(s). Usernames and passwords from Ride 360 will carry over to My Ride K-12. Additionally, existing log-in information can be used to access a web version of My Ride K-12 at myridek12.tylerapp.com.

Each student can have two parents/guardians sign up for the app, but parents/guardians can share their login information with others (i.e. grandparents, caregivers, etc.) In regard to safety/custody issues: the transportation department will have access to manage users who have access to the app if a situation arises.
