March 30 regional school threats

At approximately 10:00 a.m. all three Schuylerville school buildings entered a hold in place advised by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. School districts throughout the Capital Region have been receiving threats this morning, and out of an abundance of caution, sweeps of school buildings were conducted by law enforcement. While Schuylerville received no threat today, our district’s School Resource Officer and administrators called holds in place in order to conduct sweeps of all buildings.

Hold in place: students and staff remain inside the building; students in hallways return to assigned classrooms.

As of 10:15 a.m. all holds in place were lifted and the school day resumed as normal.

We’d like to thank our students and staff for their quick response. We will continue to monitor the regional threats in conjunction with law enforcement and keep our school community informed. Safety is our top priority each and every day. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Gregg Barthelmas
Superintendent
