Food Service Dept. launches “Free Fridays”

Dear Schuylerville families,

Due to an excess of Supply Chain Assistance Funding, the district will be able to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students in grades K-12 every Friday through the end of the school year, beginning Friday, Feb. 10.

To help students and their families remember, this initiative will be referred to as “Free Fridays.” Please note–the free meals will only apply to a full breakfast and lunch meal. A la carte items such as snacks, drinks, ice cream and doubles must still be paid for.

This use of the money has been approved by the New York State Education Department as an efficient way to spend excess fund balance in the nonprofit food service account and have the money benefit students. We are excited to be able to offer healthy and nutritious meal options at no cost on Fridays!

If you have any questions, please contact Food Services Manager Sarah Keen: keens@schuylerville.org.

Thank you!
