36th Annual Capital Region Students and Teachers Who Make a Difference

CASDA annual recognition recipients

Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA)’s annual recognition program honors the outstanding graduating seniors  from high schools throughout the region. Recognized students are chosen by their schools on the basis of academic achievements, community service and leadership to their schools or communities, or other unique accomplishments. Each nominated student then selects a teacher who has had a significant influence on their education. Congratulations to Schuylerville High School senior Sadie Tavares, who in turn, selected Mr. Dave Conneally as a teacher to recognize. Sadie Tavares

“Currently ranked first in her graduating class, Sadie is an outstanding young lady who is very diligent and intrinsically motivated with her work both inside and outside of the classroom. As President of the Class of 2022, Spanish Club, and SADD, Sadie is a dynamic leader and a valued member of our community. Sadie has an energetic personality, is compassionate, and charismatic. As a three sport student-athlete, Sadie plays with her heart, showing grit and determination day in and day out. Sadie’s motivation and self-direction will take her far as she continues her quest for knowledge and to better the world around her by studying biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt University in the fall.”
