Scholarships


2025-26 scholarships will be updated throughout the school year. Check this page periodically for new updates. Applications/information for each scholarship can also be found in the Student Services office in the scholarship bin.

Dollars for Scholars

Schuylerville’s local chapter gives out thousands of dollars in scholarships at the district’s graduation ceremony for eligible students. The Schuylerville online application can be found here.

  • Once you are on the home page, click on the ‘Students and Parents’ tab at the top of the page.
  • On this next page, under Student and Parent Login, click on the red Login. This will open the Scholarship America Dollars for Scholars Student Center. You should see ‘Don’t have an account yet? Create one here’.
  • After clicking on that link in Schuylerville Junior-Senior High School, under ‘High School Name’ and click on the blue link that reads ‘Choose this school’.
  • You will then be directed to several pages of info that students need to fill in…only those with asterisks are required.

CTE Scholarships for BOCES Students

Students who attend BOCES should join the Google Classroom for CTE specific scholarships, using their BOCES email address and the class code: zsgu2wml. As scholarships become available throughout the year, Google Classroom will be updated.

NYS Scholarships for Academic Excellence

The NYS Scholarships for Academic Excellence (SAE) program provides scholarships to high-achieving students in registered New York State high schools. Awards are based on student academic performance.

  • Eligibility: Students must be nominated by their high school based on their academic performance.
  • Award Amounts: Scholarships are either $1,500 or $500 (the # of students that we can nominate is determined by the state scholarship program). 
  • Selection Criteria for Scholarship: Class rank of students at the end of their junior year.

Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Teen Scholarship Contest: Provides educational funding to college-bound high school seniors who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Application can be found here. Deadline: March 1

Hudson Mohawk (AHEC) Health Career Scholarship: Eligible applicants must be entering an approved healthcare related certificate or degree program at a local community college, university, or training entity within New York State. Application can be found here. Deadline: March 13

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation: Provides postsecondary scholarship support (averaging $3,500 per year) to every eligible child of a Marine. Deadline: March 1

Brown Hudner Navy Scholarship Foundation: Provides support in postsecondary STEM programs to children of sailors. Deadline: March 1

Saratoga Hospital Volunteer Guild Scholarship: eligible applicants must be accepted into college for the fall of 2026, have a GPA of 80 or higher, have a documented record of community service, especially in a healthcare environment, and submit the application with all required documents. Application can be found here. Deadline: March 31

Gerard J. Buckenmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship: eligible applicants must be a member in good standing with FASNY or have a parent/legal guardian who is a member and serve as a current Junior firefighter, Explorer Scout or RAM in a group affiliated with a volunteer department or a volunteer with an EMS unit. More information, as well as the application can be found online. Deadline: March 15

The Lariat STEM Scholarship: eligible applicants are between 18-24 years old, from lower-income families in rural areas, who are pursuing a degree in math or science. Application is available here. Deadline: not specified

NYSUT Retiree Council 10 Scholarship: eligible applicants must be pursuing a degree in education at either a two-year college transfer program or a four-year college. Application can be found here. Deadline: March 23

Saratoga Ancient Order of Hibernians Scholarship: eligible applicants must be graduating students who wish to further their education beyond high school. Application can be found here. Deadline: March 17

CSEA Local 864 Scholarship: eligible applicant must be a graduating senior who are children of employees represented by Local 864. The application, along with more information, can be found here. Deadline: March 27

Hagan Scholarship: this is a need-based merit scholarship for goal-driven students. Eligibility requirements include: an unweighted GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 grading scale, work 240 hours from January 1, 2026 – September 1, 2026, parents’ 2024 adjusted gross household income must not exceed $125,000. April

Cameron Jace Memorial Scholarship: Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing, plan to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college, be pursuing a degree in any area of health care, and have a record of volunteerism. Application can be found here. Deadline: April 24

Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship: eligible applicants must be a graduating high school senior who is interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, welding, CNC machining, or electromechanical technology. The Troy Industrial Solutions Manufacturing Scholarship recipient will receive a one-time $1,500.00 financial award to be used towards earning a certificate or educational credential at any college, vocational or trade school in the US. Funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, equipment, or tools used in this endeavor. More information, including the application, can be found here. Deadline: April 1

NSPE-NY Scholarship: eligible applicants must be planning to attend an ABET accredited college engineering program. Application link and more information can be found here. Deadline: April 1

NYFB Agricultural Youth Scholarship: eligible applicants are seniors who are graduating and interested in pursuing a career related to agriculture. Application and more information can be found here. Deadline: April 1

Schuylerville Community Theater Scholarship: eligible applicants must be pursuing a degree in Music, Dance, Drama, or Theater Arts. Application is available here. Deadline: April 20

Adirondack School Counselor Association Scholarship: eligible applicants must plan to study human services, sociology, psychology, or a related “helping” field; must have a record of serving others in a humanitarian way. Application can be found here. Deadline: April 17

Rodion Cantacuzene Scholarship: eligible applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, an interest in history and/or the arts, and have meaningful community service/leadership. More information, including the application, can be found here. Deadline: April 24

Operation Adopt a Soldier: eligible applicants must be a graduating senior and have/had a service member in his/her family. To be considered for this award, student must submit the Scholarship Information Sheet, a letter of recommendation from an academic individual, and a 200-300 word essay answering the following question: “What is your viewpoint of people who serve in the military?” More information can be found here. Saratoga Builder Association Student Scholarship: eligible applicants must be planning to pursue construction education at either a 2 or 4-year accredited college, university, technical school or plan to purchase tools and/or equipment for employment/career or to start a business in the construction industry. The Adirondack Runners Scholarship: eligible applicants must be from designated school districts in Warren, Washington, Hamilton, Essex and Saratoga Counties or high school seniors who are TAR members-in-good-standing attending any high school; applicant must be planning to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college. Zonta Club of Glens Falls Scholarship: eligible applicants must be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution and demonstrate academic success, school/community involvement and talent/dream for future success. Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York Scholarship: eligible applicants must be graduating high school seniors or students who will be enrolled at any post high school institution of higher learning. More information, including the application, can be found here. Deadline: April 10

Pearls of the Capital Region Foundation Scholarship: this is a scholarship opportunity available to college-bound women who demonstrate academic achievement and community leadership. Scholarships will be awarded to young women who are graduating seniors and are planning to attend an accredited four year college or university in the Fall 2026. Please find more information here. SHHA Thomas McTygue Scholarship: eligible applicant is graduating high school senior pursuing a two or four-year degree and who is a member of the SHHA (Saratoga Harness Horseperson’s Association, Inc.), or whose parent, guardian or relative is a member in good standing of the SHHA. May

Shay Legacy Foundation Commercial Truck Driver Scholarship: Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of NYS, a US citizen or permanent resident, have a valid NYS driver’s license, Class D or above, have no physical limitations that affect driving ability, have adequate command of the English language to complete written exams and follow verbal instructions provided in English, and have proof of enrollment in a school listed in the Federal Training Provider Registry. Beth Chubb Roberts Memorial Scholarship: to honor the life and legacy of Beth Chubb Roberts, the Schuylerville Teachers’ Association has set up a memorial scholarship fund to give back to graduating Schuylerville students. The memorial scholarship is a broad scholarship that is committed to supporting all of the things Beth stood for. Applicants are asked to submit a one page reflection on their career at Schuylerville and state what their future aspirations are. Please find the scholarship application here. Deadline: May 15

Epilepsy Foundation of Northeaster New York Scholarship: eligible applicants must be currently being treated for epilepsy and have plans to further their education. More information can be found here. Deadline: May 15

National Association of Women in Construction Collegiate Scholarship: eligible applicants must be a graduating female student entering an accredited college in the US pursing a degree in Construction including Civil, Chemical, and Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, Engineering Science, etc. The application and more information can be found here. Deadline: May 1

National Association of Women in Trades Scholarship: eligible applicants must be a graduating female students entering an accredited technical school in the US pursuing a skilled construction trade degree of certification. The application and more information can be found here. Deadline: May 1

  • Hagan Scholarship: A nationwide, four-year, need-based merit scholarship; eligible applicants must have a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and meet financial eligibility requirements. Application can be found here. Deadline: December 1
  • Equitable Excellence Scholarship: Eligible applicants must demonstrate ambition and self-drive to be a force for good in school, community or work activities. Application can be found here. Deadline: December 18
  • Saratoga Credit Union College Scholarship Program: College bound high school seniors may apply to three different scholarships with one application; eligible applicants must attend either a two or four-year accredited institution for the first time in the fall of 2026. Application can be found here. Deadline: January 9
  • TCT Federal Credit Union Scholarship: Eligible applicants must be a member of TCT FCU, be a college bound senior, and plan to attend a two or four-year accredited institution, vocational, or trade school for the first time in the fall of 2026. Applications can be found here. Deadline: January 9
  • The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship / Internship Program: This program will provide selected high school seniors with a scholarship up to $40,000 for college and internship opportunities at Amazon. Learn more information here. Deadline: January 15
  • The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship: Eligible applicants must be a graduating senior, a US citizen, present evidence of financial need, demonstrate a record of academic excellence as well as leadership potential, and plan to attend a 4-year college. Please find more information here.   • First New York Federal Credit Union Scholarship: eligible applicants must be a graduating high school senior, planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college, be an active volunteer in the community, be a First New York member in good standing, and submit an essay which can be found on the scholarship application.   • The Walter Grishkot Memorial Scholarship: eligible applicants must reside in Warren, Washington or Saratoga County and plan to pursue the study of aviation, aeronautics or related fields. Application can be found here. Deadline: February 28
  • The Joan Grishkot Memorial Scholarship: eligible applicants must reside in Warren, Washington or Saratoga County and plan to pursue the study of nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and other related medical fields. Application can be found here. Deadline: February 28
  • The New York Water Environment Association: various scholarships will be awarded to students in New York State who plan to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in an environmental major. More information can be found here. Deadline: February 28
  • DeWALT Trades Scholarships: eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary school or training program and be pursuing a high-demand skilled trade. Application can be found here. Deadline: February 28
