2023 NYS Regents Exams

June is an important testing time for students at Schuylerville High School with NYS Regents exams quickly approaching. This letter is to provide you and your child with some information to help facilitate the process.

Regents exams are administered under strict testing conditions as mandated by the New York State Education Department. Please be aware of the uniform admission deadlines for morning and afternoon exams.

  • Students taking an 8:00 a.m. test must enter the exam before 10:00 a.m.
  • Students taking a 12:00 p.m. test must enter the exam by 2:00 p.m.

Students who are not present for Regents exams will not be permitted to take the exam during that testing time and will have to wait until the next administration of the exam, as determined by the New York State Education Department. Click here for the exam schedule.

Regents Review Sessions

Click here for the schedule for the 2023 Regents review sessions. Students are strongly encouraged to attend their review sessions in preparation for their exams.

June 1: United States History Examination/World Language Checkpoint B

On June 1, the United States History Regents Examination and the World Language Checkpoint B will be administered. Please note that THIS IS A REGULAR DAY OF SCHOOL FOR ALL STUDENTS. However, students who are enrolled in the U.S. History/A.P. U.S. History or Spanish/French 3 courses will take exams that day. The U.S. History Exam will take place at 8:00 a.m. while  the World Language Checkpoint B will be at 12:00 p.m. Students will be provided testing locations from their teacher.

Transportation

Morning buses will run on their regularly scheduled routes through June 21. There will be no transportation on June 22 for high school students. A mid-day (11:15 a.m.) bus run will occur and these are drop-off routes only from the school. There will be no mid-day pick-up. Students needing a ride after 2:25 p.m. should wait in the cafeteria until the elementary runs begin. If a student is scheduled only for an afternoon exam, you must provide your own transportation or have the student the morning bus and report to Student Services.

Security Issues

Please be advised that students are not permitted to bring book bags, hats, electronic devices, etc. into the testing area. All cellphones will be collected and stored in a secure area; students can retrieve cell phones after a proctor has collected their exam.

We hope you find this information to be helpful. Please feel free to call Student Services or the office if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

James Ducharme
High School Principal
