The Schuylerville varsity volleyball team will donate more than $2,000 to the American Cancer Society at the annual Queensbury Power of Pink Volleyball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 10. The team raised $1,140 through a basket raffle and DKB Logistic generously matched that amount. The team also purchased t-shirts, whose proceeds go to the American Cancer Society, for $360.

“The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the American Cancer Society and I am happy to announce that we beat the amount we donated last year,” Coach Kristin Poutre said. “The girls worked hard and are proud to make a difference in the community.”

The players wants to thank everyone who donated and helped them reach their goal. The team begins their tournament play at 8 a.m. against Lake George.
