Schuylerville High School senior guard Emily Vallee reached the 1,000-point mark for her varsity basketball career on Monday, Feb. 5. Vallee scored 22 points in a 52-35 victory over Broadalbin-Perth on the Black Horses’ senior night. Vallee has started every game since her freshman year. Coach Jason Mehan says that over the course of those years, Vallee has continued to work hard to improve her game and become one of the top players in the league.
“Scoring 1,000 points in a high school career is a major accomplishment,” Mehan said. “I am so proud of her effort, lucky to be her coach, and just happy to have had a courtside seat for every one of those points.”
