The district has received updated guidance regarding masks and the 2021 summer school session, due to the current, low rates of COVID-19 transmission. School districts have the option of revising their local policies for the summer; Schuylerville CSD will be adhering to the following recommendations from the NYS Department of Health:
- Unvaccinated children are strongly encouraged, but no longer required to wear face coverings during summer school classes
- Unvaccinated children (which currently includes all students under 12) still must wear face coverings on buses
- Unvaccinated staff must wear a face covering at all times while indoors
In addition, districts no longer have to submit a daily entry to the COVID-19 report card.
Please note: the above information applies to the 2021 summer session only; additional guidance regarding the 2021-22 school year is expected later this summer.
As always, we will continue to keep our staff and families informed regarding any changes made to health and safety protocols.
We hope you are having an enjoyable and safe summer!
