Two Schuylerville High School students have been selected as recipients of The Post-Star’s Teen Excellence Award. Victoria Pinto and Elizabeth Pumiglia, both seniors, will be recognized at a March 4 awards breakfast at Great Escape Lodge in Queensbury and will be featured in a special edition of The Post-Star.
The honor was bestowed on just 20 students from the region after a panel of judges reviewed nomination materials submitted by school representatives, coaches, youth group leaders, employers and church leaders. Pinto, Pumiglia and their fellow Teen Excellence Award winners are being recognized for accomplishments that go beyond academics and athletics, with the award seeking to identify “outstanding young people between the ages of 13 and 19 who have demonstrated personal growth, leadership and innovation along with a commitment to the community.”
