Three student artists recognized by Lions Club, Board of Education

Three Schuylerville Middle School students were recognized Monday, Jan. 9 by the Schuylerville Lions Club and the Schuylerville Board of Education for their participation in the Lions Club’s Peace Poster contest. This year’s theme was “A Celebration of Peace.” Eighth-graders Reagan Hutchinson, Emily Oakes, and Jack Dwyer had their work chosen from among more than 100 pieces created by Schuylerville students.

Hutchinson’s piece took first place at the local level and advanced to win Regionals. Her artwork is currently in New York City being judged at the State level.

Oakes’ piece finished second and Dwyer’s piece took third place.
