Technology students create school signs

Schuylerville signSchuylerville High School students in Dave Gauci’s technology classes are helping to bring school spirit to the hallways. Students designed and created two signs, one of the school name and one of the mascot, using a software program called Easel. They had to set up the dimensions, router and carving speeds according to the material being used. Students then sent their designs to a “printer,” a CNC (computer numerical control) router. Each Black Horses signletter took about 30 minutes to cut. After they were cut, students sanded and painted the letters and now they are displayed in the hallway.
