Teachers and students demonstrate technology skills during site visit

Site visit in kindergarten classroomSchuylerville Elementary School students and teachers put their technology skills on display on Wednesday, March 8 as a group of teachers and administrators from the Ausable Valley Central School District visited campus. The group stopped by Schuylerville to see how the district uses iPads to enhance learning for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Site visit in fifth grade roomThe group from Ausable Valley stopped into a handful of classrooms where they watched kindergarten students use iPads for reading during center-based instruction; fourth-graders showed off how they’re using technology for their Iditarod project and fifth grade students demonstrated how they use robots “Dash and Dot” to reinforce what they’re learning in science and social studies, all while getting a taste of computer science.
