Students explore new foods during Rainbow Food Week

Student in the cafeteriaThe Schuylerville Elementary and Middle School cafeteria celebrated its annual Rainbow Food Week May 6-10. It was made possible by a generous donation from PEP and the hard work of Food Services intern McKenna Lickle of the Sage Colleges. Each day, students learned fun facts about the fruit or vegetable being served and had the opportunity to sample the rainbow food, even if they didn’t buy lunch. The menu was:

  • Monday – Tri-Color Pepper Salad
  • Tuesday – Rainbow Fruit Skewer with Yogurt Dip
  • Wednesday – Chilled Asparagus Salad
  • Thursday – Mango Salsa
  • Friday – Fresh Fruit Salad & Veggie Pizza
