Students elected, receive awards at state leadership conference

Emily Crouth, Asa Dupras, Holly Deyoe and Myranda Gale at NYS CLSA Conference

A group of Schuylerville High School student council members attended the New York State Council on Leadership and Student Activities (NYS CLSA) Conference from Nov. 18-20 in Niagara Falls. The annual conference brings together a diverse group of students from around the state to gain leadership skills, share ideas through networking and meet other student leaders from around the state.

At the conference, junior Kaela Ellis and sophomore Cody Belden were re-elected to the Student Board and will be representing the region. Senior Myranda Gale was awarded the Outstanding Leader Award and Ellis was awarded both the Kristin Haver and Dale Hawley Awards.

Students also spent part of the conference assembling donation baskets for the local chapter of the Ronald McDonald House.
