Student-musicians take part in All-County Band Festival

All-County StudentsMore than three dozen Schuylerville Middle and High School students will be representing the district at the Saratoga Warren County Music Educators Association 2019 All-County Band Festival on Thursday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 19.

To be eligible for consideration, students had to prepare a solo piece and perform for an adjudicator at the 2019 NYSSMA Solo Festival. Students selected to participate in All-County Band are those who received some of the highest scores at the solo festival and they represent some of the best student musicians in Saratoga and Warren Counties. Preparation for the NYSSMA Solo festival is taken on by students in addition to their curricular work in band class and lessons; and, in preparation for the All-County Band Festival, students have been working on learning challenging music in addition to their current band music and school work.
