Carter Fritch, a senior at Schuylerville High School, tied for fourth place in the New York State PGA Junior Championship last weekend at Leatherstocking Golf Club in Cooperstown.

Fritch shot a 77 on Saturday and followed with a 73 on Sunday for a 150 (+6). His round Sunday included an eagle on the par-5 15th hole.

“It’s always encouraging to see our student-athletes continue to pursue their love of a sport after the season ends,” Athletic Director Heath Morris said. “We’re very proud of Carter’s accomplishments at the PGA Junior Championship and throughout his high school career.”

Fritch plans to attend St. John Fisher in the fall.
