Schuylerville High School science teacher James Burleigh has $500 to spend on classroom supplies, thanks to the DoSomething.org “Thanks a Billion” campaign and a student nomination. As part of the campaign, students across the country were asked to show their appreciation for their favorite science teachers. Senior Derek Willson showed his appreciation by creating Mr. Burleigh a thank you card and nominating him for a portion of grant money being awarded through the campaign. Burleigh was selected and awarded a $500 DonorsChoose.org gift card for classroom supplies.
