School threat

On March 22, the district was alerted by School Resource Officer Chris Grieve that a Schuylerville High School student allegedly made a threat to “shoot up the school” to a student from another district via SnapChat. The conversation occurred on or about March 5, but the screenshots were discovered yesterday, March 21, by the student’s father. The student has been in school up until yesterday, March 21, as the discovery was only made last night by the parent. As of today, March 22, the student is not in school, and law enforcement is involved/investigating.

The student will not be allowed on campus Monday, March 25 (and beyond), and further disciplinary action will be taken.

As always student safety is the district’s number one priority. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
