Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. We are excited to welcome students and support them as they begin, continue, or near the end of their educational journeys with us. The first few days of school were a big success. As always, thank you for your patience regarding dismissal.

We remain steadfast in our continued commitment to academic excellence, innovative practices, school safety, and inclusive excellence. We are proud of our achievements and grateful for our school community.
Please visit our district website at www.schuylervilleschools.org for the latest and most updated information. Also, to keep updated with the most current trends in education and the latest educational resources, especially as it relates to the New York State Standards, please visit www.engageny.org. This New York State Education Department Website has a plethora of parent resources that will be of great value to you.

We are also excited with the continuation of our School Resource Officer, Sheriff Zach Warriner, who will work in collaboration with our administration and teachers to continue to provide a safe and orderly environment. Sheriff Warriner will participate in the District Safety Committee and be responsible for integrating safety, security and emergency preparedness into the school’s daily practice. Above all, he will promote an effective and proactive safety plan of developing relationships with our students and community members

We continue to plan and implement programs in an effort to promote kindness and combat bullying. Please review the Schuylerville Central School District Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Plain Language Summary located on the district website. Additionally, please access the following link, https://www.schuylervilleschools.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/ES_DASA_Reporting_Form.pdf, in the event that you have a concern regarding bullying and your child. It is crucial and important that you contact me directly if your child is encountering a problem here at school. It is important to me that your child comes to school without any worries and only having to focus on their education. Bullying is not tolerated and you can expect a swift and quick reaction by me when dealing with any bullying situation.

Lastly, please visit and review the Parent and Student Handbook at https://www.schuylervilleschools.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/2019-20-ES-Student-and-Parent-Handbook.pdf

It is important to update the main office with any contact and/or emergency information/dismissal information as soon as changes are known. We ask that you stay diligent in this effort.

Please make every effort to notify attendance at extension 1225 with any dismissal changes by 10:00 a.m. A reminder that all items delivered to school must arrive no later than 10:00 a.m. to the table inside the vestibule of the main entrance. This will ensure greater efficiency and less confusion.
