Schuylerville Middle School students wore pink and purple to school on Friday, Oct. 16 to show their support for cancer awareness. It was all part of the school’s annual ‘Go Pink Day’ in recognition of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Students were also wearing purple to show support for Samantha Toleman, a Class of 2011 Schuylerville alumnae, who is battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The students who dressed in pink or purple donated a dollar each and were entered into a raffle. The students raised over $300, which will be donated to Toleman to help with medical costs.
