Middle school students donate 1,242 food items to SAFER

FBLA club pose with SAFER leaders and the 1,242 food items they donatedSchuylerville Middle School students donated more than 1,000 non-perishable food items to the Schuylerville Area Food and Emergency Relief (SAFER). It was all part of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club’s annual food drive challenge, which ran from Jan. 4 to Feb. 12.

This year, the seventh-grade class won the donation challenge by collecting more food items than students in grades 6 and 8.

On Feb. 26, representatives from SAFER visited the middle school to collect the donations and say thank you to the students who participated.
