March 20 update

Dear Schuylerville families,

With news that changes rapidly each day, below are several, new announcements as of Friday, March 20:

Closure of outdoor areas on campus

NYS Governor Cuomo has restricted non-essential gatherings and individuals are being asked to limit outdoor recreational activities. As a result, the district’s stadium, track, tennis courts and playgrounds will be closed until further notice.

Suspension of NYS tests
  • NYS Grades 3-8 ELA Test
  • New York State Grades 3-8 Mathematics Test
  • New York State Grades 4 & 8 Science Test
  • New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) K-12
  • New York State Alternate Assessment (NYSAA) for students with severe cognitive disabilities in Grades 3-8 and high school.
Meals

The district will continue delivery-only meals. Deliveries will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and include two days of breakfast and lunch. Meals are free for all students under the age of 18, regardless of their free or reduced lunch eligibility during the regular school year. It’s come to our attention that food isn’t being brought in as soon as it’s delivered, presenting an issue specifically with the milk. If you will not be home during the delivery timeframe, please put a cooler in front of your home to help preserve the food
