Luzadis named Wendy’s High School Heisman School Winner

Schuylerville High School senior Charles Luzadis has been named a School Winner in the Wendy’s High School Heisman. The annual scholarship competition recognizes students who display excellence and integrity both on and off the field. Luzadis was one of more than 3,600 students named School Winners from an applicant pool of more than 40,000 high school scholar-athletes.

To qualify for the competition, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, participate in at least one of the 48 sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee and/or the National Federation of State High School Association and be a leader in his or her school and community.

Luzadis, a two-sport varsity athlete in football and baseball, will now compete for a chance to become a State Winner. State Winners will each receive a $500 college scholarship and will advance to the next round of the competition. State Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
