Amy Jordan's class selling flowers on Valentine's DaySchuylerville Elementary School students in Amy Jordan’s life skills class are continuing their efforts to raise money to help give to sick children. On Tuesday, March 8, the class donated $1,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital from the profits they earned by selling Valentine’s Day carnations in February.

“The students worked very hard on this project,” Jordan said. “They used their organizational skills to sort request forms, build an Excel sheet, and prep, sort and hand out more than 1,000 flowers.”

Jordan’s class donated $500 to the hospital in December from the profits they earned by running the Holiday Shoppe.

“I’m very proud of my students, but it’s not just us,” Jordan said. “This entire community is so caring and giving. We cannot thank them enough for all of their donations as we continue our efforts to help St. Jude’s.”
