LaBounty, Vianese advance to State Cross Country Championships

Two members of the Schuylerville varsity girls cross country team will be heading to the State Cross Country Championships on Long Island, after each ran a personal best to secure her spot. Schuylerville High School junior Sunni LaBounty and Schuylerville Middle School eighth-grader Megan Vianese placed sixth and 10th respectively at the Section II Championships at Saratoga Spa State Park on Nov. 2. The boys varsity cross country team placed second out of 23 teams to receive runner-up honors and senior Ethan Burch was Schuylerville’s top boy, finishing ninth. The state meet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Sunken Meadow State Park.
