Open enrollment for Kindergarten Registration is now in progress for any child entering kindergarten at Schuylerville Elementary School in fall 2019. Children must turn five years old on or before Dec. 1, 2019 to start kindergarten in September 2019. If your child is eligible, here are some important steps to the process:

• Please complete the online pre-registration form. Final registration is completed in person March 6-8 and takes approximately 10-15 minutes per student. Once you have completed the online form, someone from the office will contact you to schedule your appointment.

• Please review the required document checklist and bring all necessary documents to your registration appointment.

• Once registration is complete, arrangements will be made to schedule a screening appointment for either Thursday, March 21 or Friday, March 22. To ensure your child screens during this period, registration must be completed by March 15.

• A Kindergarten Parent Orientation night will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria. This program, which will explain the screening process, talk about expectations for the children coming into kindergarten, describe Schuylerville’s kindergarten program, and answer questions, is for parents and guardians only.
