Jan. 3 COVID-19 update

Dear Schuylerville families,

The district has put together several clarifications to the COVID-19 health and safety protocols that will be helpful as we navigate this winter season.

Click here for the communication sent out on Friday, Dec. 31. Please note: with the start of the Test to Stay program, Schuylerville CSD positive cases and mandatory quarantines will continue to be reported to the NYS COVID-19 Report Card, which can be accessed here.

Further clarifications

  • If a student is unvaccinated and exposed to a positive case at school or on the bus, that student is eligible for the Test to Stay program if that student remains asymptomatic. The Test to Stay program begins this week.
    • Please note: if a student remains asymptomatic and tests negative, participation in extracurricular activities and athletics will be determined on a case by case basis.
  • If a student is vaccinated and exposed to a positive case at school or on the bus, that student should monitor for symptoms but can remain in school and does not need to test.
    • Please note: if a vaccinated student becomes symptomatic, that student will be sent home and should test.
