Dear Schuylerville families,
We apologize for the late notice, but starting tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 4, Schuylerville High School will be fully remote through Friday, Jan. 8. Today at 5:40 p.m., the district was notified that a high school staff member tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was last in the building on Dec. 29; the positive case has resulted in several quarantines that also affect the high school staff, therefore making it difficult to adequately have the building operational each day.
*Life Skills students will still be able to report for in-person learning this week.
At this time, the elementary school and middle school will remain open for in-person learning, beginning on Monday, Jan. 4.
High school students who need meals should contact Food Services Manager Sarah Keen ASAP to be added to the list to pick up meals. Email: KeenS@schuylerville.org.
Thank you for your understanding of this unexpected pivot to remote learning for grades 9-12; as always, our decisions will be made in the best interest of the safety of students and staff. Please reach out to your child’s building principal or COVID-19 Coordinator Gregg Barthelmas if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Dr. Ryan Sherman
Superintendent
