Members of Schuylerville’s FFA chapter are concluding a busy summer full of events dedicated to educating the community about agriculture. Members took part in the 23rd Annual Turning Point Parade on Sunday, Aug. 6. They spent hours building and assembling a float and handed out freeze pops and coloring sheets to spectators as the float made its way down Broad Street. FFA members also took part in the Washington County Fair from Aug. 21 to Aug. 27. FFA chapters from all over Washington County, including Schuylerville, Greenwich, Granville, Argyle, Salem and Hartford came together to set up and manage the FFA Farmland Barn. The barn provided an educational experience for kids and adults. Fairgoers were able to ask agricultural questions, as well as visit the animals on display.
