Amy Dunbar’s sixth grade ELA students participated in an activity called, “Life Lessons Learned Through Literature.” Throughout the year, students discussed how they can learn about people and experiences through literature. Students were asked to read a personal choice book, determine the theme of the book, and then create a video that shows what the life lesson was. The activity served as a reminder that books provide us with “mirrors and windows,” especially during trying times. Video music credit: “All the Salt” by John Craigie.
