Dozens perform at NYSSMA Solo Festival

More than two dozen Schuylerville students in fifth grade through eighth grade took part in the 2017 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Solo Festival at Maple Avenue Middle School in Saratoga on March 10-11. Students performed a prepared solo, played scales and sight read a short line of music they have never seen before, all in front of a judge. Hundreds of music students in grades 4-12 participate in NYSSMA festivals throughout the state each year. Congratulations to this year’s participants!
